Release of “Stay With Me” Video aimed towards Suicide Prevention Awareness

I was inspired to write “Stay with Me” after being scheduled to play a gig on World Suicide Prevention Day. This song is written from the perspective of someone who has lost a close friend to Suicide. I hope to raise awareness in those that listen to my song, as there are many troubled people among us that need our help, and it is our job to help them to seek guidance to prevent more tragic losses.

Did you guys know that suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10-24 in the USA? That means more teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, combined! This issue doesn’t only affect Americans. Suicide is also the leading cause of death for South Koreans age 15-29 where teen suicide rates have increased almost 60% over the past decade.

I hope those troubled with thoughts of suicide will seek out help. There are many of us who do care.  If you or a loved one is struggling with thoughts of suicide, PLEASE make use of the resources below. Lets make a difference in our society!
